Brunei Age Group Championships Witness 10 Standards Fall

BERAKAS, Brunei, June 24. DURING the first day of competition at the Brunei Age Group Championships held in Berakas, Brunei, 10 national standards fell according to report by the Borneo Bulletin.

Maria Grace Koh broke five national standards with 13-14 times in the 50 free (29.47), 100 back (1:14.37), 50 breast (38.37), 100 fly (1:12.32) and 200 IM (2:41.70).

Meanwhile, Amanda Liew set the 11-12 200 IM (2:46.12), while also touching in 1:16.57 in the 100 fly.

In the 15-17 age group, Amnahliyani Hussein surpassed the 100 breast with a time of 1:32.68, while Nathaniel Ting broke the boys 15-17 50 breast in 33.59.

Finally, an eight-year-old record in the 13-14 50 fly went down when Mohd Bahrin Shah clocked a 30.33.
