The United States dominated from the beginning leading 3-1 after the first period and 5-1 at halftime. In the third period Team USA continued to cruise in the third period as Schwimer scored twice en route to a 9-2 lead. Team USA put the match away in the fourth with four more goals, allowing just one from Argentina for 13-3 advantage and a victory.
Team USA went 3/8 on power plays and 2/2 on penalties while Argentina was 2/6 on power plays and did not attempt a penalty shot.
