Joseph Schooling, Lindsey Swartz Double On Night Three Of Bolles TYR Summer Classic

JACKSONVILLE, Florida, June 28. JOSEPH Schooling and Lindsey Swartz each won two individual events, while Erica Laning and Andrea Kyriakidis added to their win totals during the third night of finals at the Bolles School Sharks TYR Summer Classic in Jacksonville.

Claire Rasmus of Bolles claimed the first title up for grabs in the senior division, posting a time of 2:04.50 in the women’s 200 free. Ashley Darby of Tennessee Aquatics picked up second place honors with a 2:07.20, while Darby’s teammate, Courtney Aycock, came in third at 2:10.84. Tennessee Aquatics’ Erica Laning had the fastest time of the day in the 15-16 division at 2:04.35, her third win of the meet. Joseph Schooling of Bolles took home the men’s 200 free win in 1:51.58, just over a second in front of teammate Julio Galofre (1:52.75). It marked Schooling’s third win of the meet. Walker Higgins of Tennessee Aquatics finished third in 1:54.69.

Logan Williams of Old Dominion Aquatic Club had the best 200 fly in the senior division as her 2:21.90 withstood challenges from Nova of Virginia’s Dorothy Reilly (2:23.78) and SwimAtlanta’s Brittany Creasy (2:25.53). However, Andrea Kyriakidis posted the top time of the day in the 15-16 division at 2:21.74, her second win of the meet. Schooling won his second event of the night and third of the meet in the men’s 200 fly, completing the distance in 2:02.30. Julio Galofre finished second to Schooling for the second time in two events with a 2:03.43, while Maximiliano Abreu, also of Bolles, touched third in 2:05.94.

Lindsey Swartz of Pine Crest topped the field in the women’s 100 breast with a 1:14.81, slightly ahead of Tennessee Aquatics’ Maggie Melhorn (1:15.14). Madeline Hoff of Bolles posted a time of 1:16.61 to finish third in the senior division. Dani Keymont of CBS Islanders and Andrea Kyriakidis would have finished 1-2 in the senior division after putting up times of 1:13.13 and 1:13.67, respectively, in the 15-16 event. Bolles swept the top three spots in the men’s 100 breast final, with Jorge Murillo Valdes leading the way in 1:01.90. Anton Lobanov touched in 1:03.11 to finish second, just ahead of Melquides Alvarez Caraballo (1:03.42).

Pine Crest’s Lindsey Swartz took home her second win of the night, in back-to-back races, with a winning time of 5:04.13 in the women’s 400 IM. She finished more than 13 seconds in front of Nova of Virginia’s Dorothy Reilly (5:17.72), and 14 ahead of Tennessee Aquatics’ Anna Banick (5:18.59). Samuel Stewart of the YMCA Hub Fins grabbed the final event title up for grabs tonight with a 4:34.17 in the men’s 400 IM. Bryar Long of Tennessee Aquatics finished four seconds back in 4:38.39, while Jackson Tunks of Southern Waters Aquatic Team rounded out the top three in 4:41.49.
