Ariana Kukors Announces She’s Un-Retiring, Will Train At Trojan Swim Club

PHOENIX, Arizona, June 19. ARIANA Kukors announced today via her blog that in nine days she will move to Southern California to train with coach Dave Salo and Trojan Swim Club, ending her two-year retirement from the sport.

Kukors, who set the world record in the 200 IM at the 2009 FINA World Championships then retired from competitive swimming following the 2012 Olympics, has been living and working in Seattle and got the itch to start swimming again last fall. The idea of making a comeback came full throttle while she worked for Seattle’s KING 5 news at the Sochi Olympics in February.

Kukors will join a loaded training group that includes current US National Team swimmers Haley Anderson, Jessica Hardy and Mike Alexandrov, and a handful of USC swimmers as well.
