SANTA CLARA, California, June 13. AS he has been for the past two stops on the Arena Grand Prix circuit, Michael Phelps will be the headliner for the final meet in Santa Clara as American swimmers make final race tweaks before the national championships.

Phelps has entered four events in this meet, but it is not known if he will race in all of them. He'll swim the 100 and 200 free, the 100 fly and 200 IM. This would mark Phelps' first races in the 100 free and 200 IM since his retirement after the London Olympics. He raced the 200 free in Charlotte but scratched from the final, and won the 100 fly in Charlotte.

We won't have to speculate if Ryan Lochte will race in Santa Clara; he's not listed in the psych sheet. Many of his SwimMAC Carolina Elite teammates will be racing there, including Tyler Clary, Micah Lawrence, Dax Hill and Madison Kennedy.

Phelps' teammates from North Baltimore Aquatic Club will be in Santa Clara after a long month of training at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. Many of the familiar names are on the psych sheet, including Chase Kalisz, Conor Dwyer, Yannick Agnel, Allison Schmitt and Lotte Friis. Ous Mellouli will race for the first time for North Baltimore since joining the program a couple of months ago. Becca Mann, who just won the 10K national title today, is also on the psych sheet.

Canada always brings a strong squad to the meet, and several members of the country's Commonwealth Games and Pan Pacific championships squad will be racing in Santa Clara. Keep an eye on Ryan Cochrane, Katerine Savard, Richard Funk and Brittany MacLean.
