KING’s 200 Medley Relay Betters 17-18 National Age Group Record

FEDERAL WAY, Washington, December 22. AT the Washington State Senior Championships last night, KING Aquatic Club took down the 17-18 U.S. National Age Group record in the women’s 200-yard medley relay with a victorious finish.

The quartet of Hannah Weiss (24.92), Carolyn McCann (29.03), Heide VanderWel (24.86) and Morgan Ginnis (22.35) raced home in 1:40.16 for the win, ahead of of KING’s B team of Kyndal Phillips (27.09), Alyssa Cook (29.03), Kenna Ramey (24.89) and Ashley Sutherland (23.05), who took second in 1:44.33.

KING previously set the 17-18 record with a 1:41.23 by VanderWel, McCann, Kenna Ramey and Ginnis at the USA Winter Junior Nationals in Greensboro a week ago. Weiss, McCann, VanderWel and Ginnis also took down the 17-18 200-meter medley relay National Age Group record earlier this year with a 1:56.39.
