Reece Whitley Tracks Down 13-14 U.S. National Age Group Record in 200 Breast

COLLEGE PARK, Maryland, December 14. SOMETHING is in the water at the Speedo Tom Dolan Invitational as 13-year-old Reece Whitley took down Curtis Ogren’s 13-14 U.S. National Age Group record in the 200-yard breast from 2010.

Whitley, who held the 100-yard breaststroke record shortly last night with a 55.62 before Michael Andrew reclaimed the record with a 55.43 just minutes later at the USA Swimming Winter Junior Nationals, took down another 13-14 mark this evening.

Whitley, who swims for Penn Charter, raced his way to a 2:00.14 in the boys 13-14 200-yard breaststroke finale, cutting a full second off Ogren’s swift 2:01.17 from 2010.
