USA Swimming Bans James Pantera for Life From Organization

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado, November 14. TODAY, USA Swimming’s Safe Sport Division announced that it has banned James Pantera for life from the organization.

Pantera has had one of the more unusual relationships with the sport and the organization, having had former USA Swimming Vice President Mike Saltzstein file a complaint against Pantera questioning his background.

USA Swimming had stated that it would look closely into the matter back in February in conjuction with Saltzstein’s complaint, which has concluded with the Pantera decision today. Pantera had claimed ASCA Level 5 certification, as well as saying he was a strength and conditioning coach at the NCAA Division I level. Saltzstein also claimed that Pantera had 11 other identities.
