INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana, June 27. WHILE Eugene Godsoe earned the main spotlight for his surprise second win of the meet in the men's 100-meter fly, Michael Phelps remained a big storyline throughout the race at the U.S. Nationals and World Championship Trials.

Godsoe will now be looked on to replace Phelps as the top 100 flier on the team after Phelps dominated the stroke for so long on the Stars and Stripes.

Phelps' shadow, however, also played a big part in the B final as 16-year-old Justin Lynch of the Terrapins took down the Greatest of All Time's 15-16 U.S. National Age Group record.

Lynch punched the wall in 52.75 to win the consolation heat, and surpass Phelps' 2001 age group standard of 52.98.
