Video Cesar Cielo Clinches 50 Free at Arizona Invitational

TEMPE, Arizona, May 25. IN a pretty loaded finale, Brazil's Cesar Cielo continued his return from a knee injury with a victory in the 50-meter free at the Arizona Invitational.

Just days after appearing on the Morning Swim Show, where he talked about the reasons for coming to Arizona for training, as well as how his knees are holding up about seven months after having surgery to decrease inflammation, the Olympic and world champion won the splash-and-dash.

Cielo won the 50-meter free this evening in 22.01, off his third-ranked 21.57 from the Maria Lenk Trophy meet earlier this year. He took down fellow Olympians Roland Schoeman (22.26) and Darian Townsend (22.97) in the process.
