Video Included Cortney Jordan Lowers Paralympic American Record at SCIACs

LA MIRADA, California, February 20. YESTERDAY at the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships in La Mirada, California Lutheran's Cortney Jordan took down the American record in the S7 division in the 200-yard backstroke event.

Jordan clocked a 2:39.88 in preliminaries of the event. That swim set an American record in the S7 division. Jordan also just missed her record in the 200 fly with a time of 2:46.69, falling about a second off her current record.

Jordan earned two silvers and a bronze at the 2012 London Paralympics, and also won gold, two silvers and a bronze at the 2008 Beijing Paralympics.
