Cincinnati Marlins Claim Another U.S. National Age Group Record

OXFORD, Ohio, July 20. A little more than a week since Carson Foster blasted the U.S. National Age Group record in the boys 10-and-under 50-meter fly, he teamed up with his other young training partners from the Cincinnati Marlins to take down another U.S. National Age Group record.

During the Ohio Long Course Junior Olympics held in Oxford, Ohio on the campus of Miami University, Ian Brann, 10, Aaron Sequeira, 10, Foster, 10, and Jacob McDonald, 10, flew to a scorching time of 2:18.89 in the boys 10-and-under 200-meter medley relay. Not only did that performance demolish the Ohio record of 2:23.64 set by the Cincy Marlins back in 2010, it became the first boys foursome in the age group under 2:19.

De Anza Cupertino's Ian Yuh, Brandon Conroy, Shotaro Ban and Adam Hinshaw previously held the record with a 2:19.06 from 2004.
