Kamehameha Swim Club Relay Downs U.S. National Age Group Record This Weekend

OAHU, Hawaii, July 17. AT the Hawaii State Long Course Age Group Championships this past weekend, the Kamehameha Swim Club downed a U.S. National Age Group record in relay action.

On July 15, the foursome of Kevin Frifeldt, Ka'ikena Naone, Ryan Stack and Kanoa Kaleoaloha turned in a time of 1:36.37 to win the boys 15-16 200-meter freestyle relay events. That swim not only smashed the Hawaiian age group record of 1:37.81 set earlier this year by a similar foursome, it eclipsed the U.S. National Age Group record held by Lake Oswego Swim Club.

Daniel Chen, Andrew Heymann, Nick Bode and Gunnar Wolfe previously set the record with a 2009 effort of 1:37.12.
