Passages: U.S. Olympic Team Doctor, Notre Dame Alum Dr. Craig Ferrell, 62

BRENTWOOD, Tennessee, May 29. DR. Craig Ferrell, who served as a team doctor for U.S. Olympic swimming and equestrian teams in the past, passed away yesterday morning at the Vanderbilt Medical Center due to “injuries received in a polo accident last week,” according to Brentwood Homepage.

Ferrell swam for the University of Notre Dame, where he earned his bachelor's degree before later earning his medical degree from Tulane.

A Funeral Mass will be held 2 p.m. May 31 at the Cathedral of the Incarnation, 2015 West End Ave. Nashville, TN 37203. Visitation will be held 4-8 p.m. May 30 at Battle Ground Academy in the Harlin Student Center, 336 Ernest Rice Lane. Franklin, TN 37069. Eulogy reading will be held at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to BrightStone, 140 SE Parkway Ct. Franklin, TN 37064.
