Suburban Swim Center Reopening Tomorrow; Brendan Hansen Part of Ribbon Cutting

NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pennsylvania, October 4. THE Suburban Swim Center will be reopening tomorrow during a ribbon cutting ceremony in Newtown Square. Olympian Brendan Hansen, who was produced by the Suburban Swim Club, will be delivering the keynote address at the ceremony.

In 2008, the Suburban Swim Center was closed after a former employee embezzled funds from the center, forcing the center to close when it could not pay its bills. The club has since renegotiated a lease of the center, and has the option to purchase the facility next year.

Since the Center closed in 2008, the Suburban Swim Club has been training at Swarthmore College and Widener University.

The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at the Suburban Swim Center on Oct. 5 at 6 p.m. local time.
