Canada’s Richard Weinberger Claims Men’s 10K in London Olympics Test Event

LONDON, England, August 13. RICHARD Weinberger of Canada took home the gold medal from the men's 10K at the London Olympics Test Event that took place today.

Weinberger checked in with a winning time of 1:50:49.8, beating open water veteran Thomas Lurz of Germany. Lurz grabbed silver with a 1:51:16.0, while world champion Spyros Gianniotis of Greece settled for bronze in 1:51:16.1.

Alex Meyer of the U.S., raced to seventh in the event with a 1:52:19.5, while another notable such as Ky Hurst of Australia (1:52:20.1) took eighth.
