Morning Swim Show: Courtney Bartholomew Energized By New Coaching Staff at Virginia

PHOENIX, Arizona, December 3. VIRGINIA sophomore Courtney Bartholomew joins today’s edition of The Morning Swim Show on the heels of a history-making performance in the 200-yard backstroke.

Bartholomew relives the experience of becoming the ninth-fastest swimmer in history in the event, and how the swim felt “easy and smooth” for her. She credits a lot of her success at the Ohio State Invitational with the new coaching staff at Virginia, led by head coach Augie Busch. Bartholomew talks about the adjustment the team made to the new energy level the team brought and what changes the coaches enacted in terms of training and stroke work.
