Morning Swim Show: Sue Chen, A Great Coach for Men and Women

PHOENIX, Arizona, November 1. WE continue our series of interviews about the USA Swimming select camp on today’s edition of The Morning Swim Show with Machine Aquatics coach Sue Chen.

Chen, who was the women’s head coach at the Colorado Springs camp, talks about the excitement of working with young female swimmers as she works to get herself out of the view of being predominantly a coach of males. She talks about what the girls taught her, as well as what she took back from the camp to Machine Aquatics. In terms of moving to a new team, she discussed the challenge she needed in the sport after many years with Rockville-Montgomery Swim Club and what the team’s mission of being “the predominant age-group team” means to her. Be sure to visit SwimmingWorld.TV for more video interviews.
