US-China in 1973

PHOENIX, Arizona, July 9. ON today's edition of The Morning Swim Show we bring you a rare video of a trip a delegation of swimmers and divers made in June 1973 to China as part of a cultural exchange program that helped foster relations between the two countries.

The trip, sponsored by the U.S. State Department, featured well-known names such as Mick King, Mitch Ivey and Karen Moe as they learned more about Chinese art, food and culture. Many of the people that took part in that tour were reunited last June for a special reunion at the International Swimming Hall of Fame, which we thank for providing this video. Be sure to visit SwimmingWorld.TV for more video interviews.
