Morning Swim Show: Paul Powers On Summer Goals, Picking Michigan

PHOENIX, Arizona, June 19. PAUL Powers joins today's edition of The Morning Swim Show shortly after his early decision to attend the University of Michigan.

Powers, who made a verbal commitment to attend Michigan, talks about how the theme of team unity at Michigan was important to him, as well as the engineering school and proximity to the GM headquarters in Detroit. Powers is working toward the goal of participating in the world junior championships, and speaks of the times he would like to swim this summer at the junior nationals in order to qualify for a spot on the team. Although unorthodox, Powers' dryland program includes weightlifting, though he talks about how the focus is not on muscle building but race-specific muscle training.
