Speedo Performance of the Week, Presented by Pace Club: April 23, 2013

PHOENIX, Arizona, April 23. MANY of the major players for this summer's world championships are starting to emerge, and everyone will certainly have their eyes on the winner of this week's Speedo Performance of the Week. It can be tough to go from a major short course yards meet to a major long course meters meet, but Vladimir Morozov pulled it off last week at the Russian nationals, posting the fastest time in the world so far in the 100 freestyle with a 47.93. Morozov has been making a name for himself these past nine months in the pool, and there doesn't appear to be any sign of slowing down. Though Morozov's time will be challenged later this week by rivals from Brazil and Australia, it's clear Morozov will still be a heavy contender for medals in Barcelona.

Congratulations, Vlad. You've won the Speedo Performance of the Week.
