PHOENIX, Arizona, January 10. THE University of Tennessee has announced that Ryan Harrison has been removed from the men's swim team for an unnamed team violation, but that will not keep the Irish swimmer from his goal of competing on the Olympic team.

Harrison told media in his homeland this week that despite not being able to swim collegiately, he is still training with the Tennessee team, and can continue his quest to qualify for the Irish Olympic team in his best event, the 200 freestyle. Harrison has competed internationally for Ireland previously at the 2009 world championships and World University Games. And last spring, he was a consolation finalist in the 200 free at the NCAAs.
