BALTIMORE, Maryland, July 10. IN advance of the star-studded Athens Bulldog Grand Slam this weekend, adidas Swim has announced that three-time Olympic gold medalist Allison Schmitt is #AllIn after signing an agreement with the apparel company.

Schmitt has had an impactful career in the sport of swimming, with three gold medals, to go with a silver and a bronze, at the 2012 London Olympic Games. She won the 200-meter freestyle individually, and helped Team USA to gold in the 800-meter free relay and 400-meter medley relay. She also took silver in the 400-meter free and bronze in the 400-meter free relay. In 2008, she picked up her first Olympic medal with a bronze as part of the 800-meter free relay for Team USA.

Schmitt also has won four world titles. She won gold in the 800-meter free relay at the 2011 Shanghai Long Course World Championships, and also picked up three world titles at the 2012 Istanbul Short Course World Championships. She topped the 200-meter free in Istanbul, and help the U.S. to wins in the 400-meter free relay and 800-meter free relay.

The well-traveled swimmer, who has represented a handful of clubs that include the Ann Arbor Swim Club, Club Wolverine, Athens Bulldog Swim Club and her current North Baltimore Aquatic Club, also had a tremendous NCAA career. She won four NCAA titles in the 200-yard and 500-yard freestyle events as well as helped Georgia to the NCAA title in 2013.

Although she had a tough international year in 2013, Schmitt has bounced back with a vengeance here in 2014 and is expected to make some significant National Team trips at U.S. Nationals next month. Signing with adidas will help her focus on her training and competition as she continues to train with one of the most elite groups in the world at NBAC.
