FINIS To Assist Jamie Patrick In Open Water Swimming World Record Performance

LIVERMORE, California, June 24. FINIS, a world leader in technical swimming products, announces its involvement in a World Record-setting performance by Ultra Swimmer Jamie Patrick.

Patrick is perhaps best known for his 111-mile swim down the Sacramento River, or for his double crossing of Lake Tahoe. His sights are now set on Lake Michigan, where he will swim over 70 miles from Milwuakee along the historic skyline to Chicago.

Joining Patrick on his incredible swim will be the Emmy Award-winning team from Ridgeline Entertainment, led by Doug Stanley, a seven-year producer of the immensely popular television show “The Deadliest Catch.” Their new social broadcasting tool Smackdab will allow the first ever 24-hour-per-day broadcast of a marathon swimming event, all included within the Facebook platform.

In order to make his swim a reality Jamie Patrick needs your help! To offset the cost of the support team and crew, Patrick and Ridgeline have joined together to create a crowd-funding campaign on IndieGoGo.

Your donation will help keep Jamie on track for what will surely be the international news event of 2014. There are a number of unique rewards available for donors, including exclusive access to a VIP boat piloted by “Deadliest Catch” Captain Larry Hendricks of the Sea Star.

If you’re looking to buy new gear for your own time in the pool, FINIS offers a number of product packages on the donation page to help both you and Jamie reach your full potential this year!
