HONOLULU, Hawaii, February 16. PUNAHOU High School senior Jamsine Mau blistered the 100-yard fly at the Hawaiian High School State Championships with a national independent school record this weekend.

Mau posted a swift time of 52.23, that downed her 2013 state mark of 52.78. It also lowered the independent school record of 52.44 set by Kathleen Hersey back in 2008, but fell short of the overall and public school mark of 51.92 set by Jasmine Tosky during prelims in California in 2011.

Mau also was part of two relays. Punahou's Lie Foster, Maddie Balish, Mau and Roxy Kiessling clocked a 1:43.77 in the 200-yard medley relay to break their school's 2007 state mark of 1:44.03. She then leadoff the team of Mau, Kelly Fricke, Katie Woof and Foster to a 3:30.33 to win the 400-yard free relay. That swim whacked three seconds off Waiakea's 2002 record of 3:33.49.

She also blasted Christel Simms' 2007 state record of 1:49.25 in the 200-yard free with a scorching 1:47.14.
