Jonathan Tybur’s Verbal Commitment to Texas A&M Helps Fill Aggie Breaststroke Gap

THE WOODLANDS, Texas, November 5. THE Texas A&M men’s team got a verbal commitment from rising breaststroker Jonathan Tybur, giving them a much-needed addition to their breaststroke roster.

Tybur, who attends College Park High and represents The Woodlands Swim Team in the pool, currently holds best times of 56.99 and 2:04.14 in the short course yards breaststroke events, both of which were swum in the past 12 months. In the long course pool, his best times in the 100 and 200 breaststroke stand at 1:05.61 and 2:21.76, respectively. His 200 LCM breast is his only senior national-level time, but his 100 is right on the cusp

Tybur could help what could be viewed as a deficit in the Aggie lineup. Only two swimmers are listed as breaststroke specialists on the roster, though Hayden Duplechain focuses more on the individual medley.
