MILTON, Massachusetts, October 10. BLUEFISH's Connor Green has made his college recruiting destination decision, and he's headed across the country to UC-Berkeley to swim for head coach Dave Durden.

Green, who is ranked 13th in the Class of 2014 by CollegeSwimming.com, has swum under the tutelage of incredible club coach Chuck Batchelor at BlueFish - the man who mentored Olympian Elizabeth Beisel prior to her heading to Florida.

"I am thrilled for Connor and Cal!" Batchelor told Swimming World. "But, I am also looking forward to an ongoing relationship with Dave and Yuri [Sugiyama] as Connor continues to develop as a top talent."

Green is an absolute beast in the backstroke events. He owns a 55.54 in the 100-meter back and a 1:58.42 in the 200-meter backstroke from the FINA World Junior Championships this past summer. He also clocked a 4:20.29 in the 400-meter IM at the 2013 Speedo Junior Nationals.

Green, the top recruit out of Massachusetts, will also provide Cal with a significant burst in the short course events as well. He owns a 1:45.43 in the 200-yard back and a 3:48.87 in the 400-yard IM. He also clocked a 1:48.47 in the 200-yard IM and a 49.32 in the 100-yard back, all from the 2012 GMSC Senior Championships less than a year ago.

Green is the top recruit so far for Cal in the Class of 2014. Previously, No. 34 Kyle Coan decided to be a Golden Bear for the squad's other top 40 swimmer.
