PHOENIX, Arizona, October 15. TENNESSEE head coach Matt Kredich can nearly do no wrong this fall with the Class of 2013 on the women's side as yet another five-star recruit just committed to be a future Lady Volunteer. Swimming World five-star prospect Michelle Cefal chose Tennessee as her final collegiate destination, giving UT six of the top 50 recruits in the nation.

Cefal, who preps for Westview High and trains with Tualatin Hills Swim Club in Oregon, made the call this evening. She's provides Kredich yet another versatile member of the Class of 2013 with a plethora of strong long course meter times in the 100-meter free (57.20), 200-meter free (2:02.79), 100-meter fly (59.31), 200-meter fly (2:10.35) and 200-meter IM (2:19.62).

"I am so excited to have finally made a decision and I know that Tennessee was the best option for me," Cefal told Swimming World while in Moscow. "I felt so welcomed by the coaches and the team and I know I will be I good hands."

Cefal is the 19th-ranked swimmer in the nation according to CollegeSwimming.com, and is the top-ranked swimmer out of Oregon - well ahead of teammate Grace Carlson who is the second-ranked swimmer in this class.

Tennessee now has six of the top 50 recruits in the nation with eighth-ranked Camryne Morris, 36th-ranked Christina Leander, 37th-ranked Colleen Callahan, 39th-ranked Heather Lundstrom and 49th-ranked Patricia Forrester all having pledged their services to the Big Orange.

It will be amazing what the men's side can do once Kredich gets his recruiting game going on the side of his newly-merged program. It seems to be only a matter of time, as Kredich has continued to increase the profile of the women's program since taking over during the 2005-06 season.
