LAS VEGAS, Nevada, May 22. EIGHT state records fell during the Nevada State High School Swimming and Diving Championships, which were held May 19 in Las Vegas.

Five records fell during the girls portion of the meet, with three additional times just barely missing the standard.

Olivia Barker from Bishop Gorman posted a record-setting 54.66 in the 100 fly and added a win in the 100 back (56.55).

Records also were broken in all three of the relay events. Bishop Gorman's team of Anne Boodt, Lindsey Englestead, Barker and Catie Miller cruised to a 1:47.02 in the 200 medley relay. Later in the meet, Marley Maluafiti and Amy Lubawy joined Barker and Miller for a 1:36.98 in the 200 free relay. Boulder City earned the team title, scoring 108 points. Dylan Bunch touched first in both the 200 and 500 free (1:42.12 and 4:32.07), and Joey Gebhart nabbed a win in the 100 back (52.26). All three of Boulder City's relay teams were victorious, two with record-setting times. The Eagles lowered marks in the 200 medley relay with the quartet of Gebhart, Gunner Braden, Cory Molisee and Jeff Grasso (1:34.51); and the 200 free relay, with Jeremy Estes joining Molisee, Grasso and Braden for a 1:25.83. Green Valley's Thomas Meek claimed first in the 50 free (21.24). Meek lost out on a second victory in the 100 free by 1-hundredth, 46.92-46.93, thanks to a come-from-behind swim by Patrick McCrillis from McQueen. Kyle Scalise's 57.51 in the 100 breast earned him first place in that event.

The brother duo of Brayden and T.C. Greenwald from Coronado finished 1-2 with scores of 408.95 and 406.40, respectively.
