ST. PETERS, Missouri, November 15. TIMBERLAND junior Andrew Sanoucie wound up the only state record-setter at the Missouri Boys State High School Championships Nov. 10-11 in St. Peters. The meet took place in short course yards.
Sanoucie's 48.14 in the 100 fly blasted the previous record of 48.91 by Fort Zumwalt South's Chris McCrary from 2000. Sanoucie also grabbed first in the 50 free with his 20.69. Glendale senior Luke Snow also finished first in a pair of events, powering his way to a 46.06 in the 100 free and 1:40.70 in the 200 free.
Parkway junior Nick Orf captured the 200 IM from Marshall senior Tyler Nichols by 2-hundredths, 1:51.06-1:51.08. Nichols then triumphed in the 100 breast (57.01). Other event champions included Francis Howell sophomore Ryan Baker in the 500 free (4:34.23), Glendale senior Jack Snow in the 100 back (51.59) and St. Louis University senior Michael Barry in 1-meter diving (407.05).
Parkway Central, St. Louis Univeristy and Lafayette Wildwood each posted a relay win. Parkway Central was tops in the 200 medley (1:36.09), St. Louis University took care of the 200 free (1:27.29) and Lafayette Wildwood was the 400 free champ (3:11.17).
