USC, Harvard Make Recruiting Pushes During Weekend

PHOENIX, Arizona, November 7. THE five-star commitments kept on rolling through the weekend with four more five stars making college pledges known publicly via the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings system.

Southern California
Five star Jeffrey Swanston will be a Trojan next year, following his brother Matthew Swanston, of Stanford, to the Pacific 12. Jeffrey, who trains at Newmarket Stingrays Swim Club and preps at Sir William Mulock in Canada, has several top long course times: 100m back 0:56.85; 200m back 2:02.23; 200m IM 2:07.48.

Swanston joins what is becoming one of the premier recruiting hauls in the nation with six stars Jasmine Tosky and Kendyl Stewart as well as five stars Ted Singley, Henriette Stenkvist and four star Maclin Davis all looking to call USC home next fall.

Harvard
Harvard has been putting together one of the strongest recruiting classes in the nation with five star after five star calling the Ivy League school home next fall.

Five star Leo Lim is the latest to make a pledge to Harvard known via the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings system. Lim, who trains with Wyckoff YMCA and preps at Tenafly, has a pair of senior national cuts: 200m fly 2:03.50; 200m IM 2:07.78.

Fellow five star Christian Yeager is also headed to Harvard. Yeager, who trains with Long Island Aquatic Club and preps at Saint Anthony's, has a pair of senior national cuts as well: 200m back 2:05.87; 400m IM 4:32.16.

The two push Harvard's five-star tally to four as Steven Kekacs and Kendall Crawford are also headed to Harvard. Additionally, three-star Marlee Ehrlich committed as well.

Arizona
Five star Kelly Moodie is on his way to Arizona next fall. Moodie, who trains with St Mary's Buccaneers and preps at St Mary's International School in Tokyo, Japan, is a freestyle specialist with strong long course times: 100m free 0:50.74; 200m free 1:50.98; 400m free 3:56.09.

He joins six star Bonnie Brandon as future Wildcats.

Hawaii
Three-star Adam Shaw will be swimming in Hawaii next fall. Shaw, who trains with Piranha Swim Team and preps at Palm Desert High School, has a junior national cut in the 200-meter breast (2:24.47).
