Stanford, Harvard Pick Up Five Star Recruits

PHOENIX, Arizona, October 31. THREE more recruits made their college decisions public via the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings system over the weekend with Stanford and Harvard both pulling in five-star commitments.

Stanford
Five-star Daniel Thomson will be attending Stanford after graduation. Thomson, who trains at the Hinsdale Swim Club and preps at Hinsdale Central High School, would have scored points in the men's 1650-yard freestyle at the 2011 NCAA Division I Championships with a top time of 14:57.66

Stanford also has a three other five stars committed as Julia Anderson , Sean Duggan and Kaylin Moss are also heading to Northern California in the fall.

Harvard
Five-star Kendall Crawford is the second public commit for Harvard. Crawford, who trains at Y-Spartaquatics and preps at Christ Church Episcopal School, is a backstroke specialist with senior national cuts in the 100-meter back (1:04.69) and 200-meter back (2:19.06).

She will be joining three-star Marlee Ehrlich in the fall at Harvard.

Northwestern
Northwestern picked up yet another piece of its recruiting puzzle for the Class of 2012 when three-star Erika Elliott pledged her services to the Wildcats. Elliott, who trains with Patriot Aquatics and preps at Barrington High School, has a junior national cut in the 200-meter back (2:20.03).

Northwestern already has commitments from five-star Shelly Patton, five-star Van Donkersgoed, five-star Karen Turner , four-star Julianne Kurke, four-star Brooke Wanser and two-star Julia Pratt.
