Stanford, Ohio State, Michigan Newest Schools to Score Five-Star Commitments

PHOENIX, Arizona, October 25. TODAY, Stanford, Ohio State and Michigan each earned a pledge from a five-star recruit in the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings, while Northwestern continued to add depth to its Class of 2012.

Five-star Kaylin Moss pledged her services to Stanford. Moss, who trains with the New Canaan Y and preps at Wilton High School, will provide Stanford with a strong breaststroke impact. She owns three senior national cuts: 100m breast 1:10.76; 200m breast 2:29.32; 200m IM 2:20.36.

Moss joins fellow five-star Sean Duggan as Stanford pledges.

Five-star Annie Lazor is on her way to Ohio State. Lazor, who trains with Birmingham Bloomfield Atlantis and preps at Birmingham Groves, is another breaststroke specialist. She owns a pair of senior national cuts: 100m breast 1:11.37; 200m breast 2:33.09.

Three-star Camey Rabold will also be attending Ohio State next year. Rabold trains with Westerville Aquatic Club and preps at Bishop Watterson, and has a junior national cut: 200m free 2:05.63.

Lazor and Rabold join five-star Josh Fleagle and four-star Christopher DePietro as future Buckeyes.

Five-star Marie Georger is also headed to the Big Ten, but will be swimming for Michigan rather than Ohio State. Georger trains with Erie Aquatics and preps at Mercyhurst Prep. She is a backstroke specialist with a pair of senior national cuts: 100m back 1:04.68; 200m back 2:17.33.

Georger is the second five-star to commit to Michigan, with Marni Oldershaw also heading to Ann Arbor

Four-star Julianne Kurke gives Northwestern yet another public commitment. Kurke, who trains with SwimAtlanta and preps at Parkview High School, has a senior national cut in the 100-meter breast (1:12.57).

Other swimmers to have committed to Northwestern including five-star Shelly Patton, five-star Van Donkersgoed and two-star Julia Pratt.

Two-star Antonio Lanzi will be swimming for Buffalo in the fall. Lanzi trains with Albany Starfish and preps at Amsterdam, and has several bonus junior cuts: 200y free 1:41.78; 500y free 4:35.31; 1650y free 16:01.40; 400y IM 4:04.39.
