Auburn, Southern California Garner Big Commitments in Recruiting Cycle

PHOENIX, Arizona, October 21. JUST two days have gone by since our last recruiting update, and six more five-star recruits have made their intentions public via the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings system. Auburn and Southern California both picked up a pair of five-star recruits, while North Carolina and Virginia also made some headway.

Jordan Jones, whose profile in the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings ranks him with a five-star ranking, is headed to Auburn in the fall. Jones, who trains at Blue Tide Aquatics and preps at Kingwood High School, is an IM threat with senior national cuts in the 200-meter IM (2:05.95) and 400-meter IM (4:28.19).

Alex Hancock, another five-star prospect in the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings, is a second high profile recruit who will be attending Auburn in the fall. Hancock, who trains at Howick Pakuranga and preps at Pakuranga College in New Zealand, will add some significant strength to Auburn's butterfly group with top times in the 100-meter fly (55.58) and 200-meter fly (2:03.35).

Ted Singley, a five-star prospect in the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings, will be heading to the Pac 12 as a member of the Southern California Trojans. Singley is a distance specialist who trains with the North Texas Nadadores and preps at Carroll Senior High School. His best times are in long course meters: 400m free 3:58.52; 1500m free 15:36.89; 200m fly 2:01.50.

Henriette Stenkvist, is another five-star prospect in the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings who will be a member of the Southern California Trojans in the fall. Stenkvist, who trains with the Raleigh Swimming Association and preps at Panther Creek High School, has multiple senior national cuts to her credit: 200m free 2:01.72; 400m free 4:13.69; 100m back 1:01.69; 200m back 2:12.64.

Whitney Allen, a five-star recruit in the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings, has committed to Virginia. Allen, who trains with Metroplex Aquatics and preps at Frisco High School, has a pair of senior national cuts to her credit: 200m breast 2:35.63; 400m IM 4:52.53.

Annie Harrison, a five-star prospect in the Swimming World College Recruit Rankings, is also headed to ACC country as a member of the North Carolina Tar Heels. Harrison, who trains with Oakville Aquatic Club and preps at Appleby College, has a slew of strong long course meter top times: 400m free 4:18.00; 100m back 1:04.07; 200m back 2:14.28; 200m IM 2:20.61; 400m IM 4:50.49.

Four-star Sam Lewis is on his way to North Carolina. Lewis, who trains with Dynamo Swim Club and preps at Milton High School, will give the Tar Heels a backstroke specialist with a top time of 58.12 in the 100-meter back.

Two-star Julia Pratt will swim for Northwestern in the fall. Pratt trains with the Vincennes Swim Team and preps at Vincennes Rivet and is best in the sprint freestyle with a 23.56 in the 50-yard free as a lifetime best.
