BARCELONA, Spain, July 25. THE Chinese diving dominance might be undergoing a bit of a youth movement as 14-year-old youngster Si Yajie supplanted teammate Chen Ruolin atop the women's 10-meter platform mountain.

It only proved to be a 3.45-point gap in the end, but Si capitalized on Chen's missed fourth-round dive to win the title 392.15 to 388.70. Ukraine's Iluliia Prokopchuck completed the podium with 358.40 points as the Chinese had a bit of a lonely duel going on at the top.

Previously, Si won the 10-meter at the Rostock Grand Prix event in 2011, but this is her first time to capture a world title. With the two medals, China now has 12 total overall with six gold, four silvers and two bronzes.

In other action, Qin Kai (493.65) and He Chong (483.15) setup a similar dual in the men's three-meter springboard as the Chinese are likely to clinch another gold medal tomorrow night in the event.
