David Boudia to Join Judging Panel on Upcoming Celebrity Diving Series

PHOENIX, Arizona, November 29. 2012 Olympic diver David Boudia, who won the first gold medal for the United States on the 10-meter platform since Greg Louganis at the 1988 Olympics, will be joining the judging panel of ABC's upcoming series “Celebrity Splash,” as reported by the Hollywood Reporter.

The series, set premier next year on ABC, will have celebrities competing against each other in a series of diving stunts of progressively increasing complexity at varying heights. Five-time Olympic medalist Louganis is also on the judging panel.

“One of the things I'm so excited about is to see celebrities, who probably have never used a diving board outside of a backyard pool, understand the real difficulties and challenges of diving, and the commitment you need to get really good,” Boudia told the Hollywood Reporter. “They may not be my competitors in Rio in 2016, but I know they will develop a new appreciation for our sport, and become the kind of advocates that inspire young divers.”
