FEDERAL WAY, Washington, June 23. INDIVIDUAL finals kicked off today at the U.S. Olympic Diving Trials at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way. Finals took place in the women's three-meter springboard and men's ten-meter platform. The Trials will wrap up with the men's three-meter and women's platform on Sunday.

Cassidy Krug won the women's three-meter springboard, scoring 1094.85 points to make her first Olympic team. Christina Loukas finished well back in second with 1017.85 points, but she secured her spot on a second Olympic team after diving in Beijing in 2008. Loukas almost qualified in the synchro platform event, but she and partner Kassidy Cook ended up finishing second to Abby Johnston and Kelci Bryant by just 0.42 of a point. Today, though, Loukas got the better of Bryant, who finished third with 967.05 points, while Cook finished in a tough spot again, scoring 962.55 points for fourth place.

David Boudia and Nick McCrory both added to their Olympic schedules with a 1-2 finish in the men's platform. The pair had already qualified to dive in the platform synchro event. Boudia, the reigning World Championship silver medalist from 2011, finished in first with 1642.40 points, while McCrory, the man who twice defeated Boudia in this event at the NCAA Championships, came in second at 1582.55 points. McCrory will dive in his first Olympics in London, while Boudia will go to his second. Thomas Finchum joined Boudia in the platform in Beijing, but he finished third today with 1463.20 points. Afterwards, Finchum announced his plan to retire following the three-meter final on Sunday.
