Gregg Troy: Florida Swimmers Performed As Expected Against Florida State After Tough Training

GAINESVILLE, Florida, January 6. GREGG Troy faced the media at the University of Florida today following a very close meet against Florida State, and the head swim coach talked about how the meet served as a gauge for training the rest of the season.

“We looked like we hadn’t raced in six weeks,” Troy said of his men’s team that handily defeated the Seminoles. As for the women, he was proud that they swam well despite a flu bug that had gone through the team.

Troy highlighted Elizabeth Beisel’s contribution to the team’s six-point win over Florida State, saying she was one of the sick athletes but one that “didn’t complain at all.”
