CARTHAGE, Wisconsin, December 11. CALIFORNIA's Missy Franklin leads the way this week in CollegeSwimming.com's National Swimmer of the Week awards, which honors the top swimmers at the NCAA Division I, Division II and Division III levels.

Division I Women
University of California Berkley Freshman Missy Franklin put together the most complete showing of any female athlete at the AT&T Winter Nationals this past weekend, which has earned her the Counsilman Hunsaker Women's Division I Swimmer of the Week. Franklin was 3rd in the 100 free (47.42), 1st in the 200 free setting a meet record (1:41.40), 2nd in the 500 free (4:34.63), 1st in the 100 back (51.59), 2nd in the 200 back (1:51.54), lead off the 2nd place 200 free relay (22.16), anchored the 1st place 400 free relay (47.86), lead off the 1st place 800 free relay (1:42.93), and anchored the 1st place 400 medley relay (47.51) which broke the meet record in a time of 3:29.91. All of her individual swims were top 10 times in the NCAA so far this year (as well as her 50 free lead off leg), and her 200 and 500 free were the fastest times posted this year, and all four relays she took part in are top five times in the NCAA this year, with the 400 medley relay being the fastest.


Division I Men
University of Arizona junior Kevin Cordes (Naperville, Ill), is the Counsilman Hunsaker CollegeSwimming.com Men's Division I Swimmer of the Week. At the University of Texas Invite this past weekend, Cordes broke the American and US Open record in the 100 breast with a time of 50.70. Cordes also won the 200 breast with an NCAA A-Cut of 1:49.38. He was also a part of the winning 400 medley relay splitting a 49.78.

Division II Women
University of Bridgeport junior Adeline Martin (Antibes, France) is the Counsilman Hunsaker CollegeSwimming.com Women's Division II Swimmer of the Week. Martin won 3 individual events, 200 IM (2:02.69), 400 IM (4:21.99) and 200 Breaststroke (2:16.88) all under the NCAA Division II "B" Standard at the 2013 TCNJ Lions Invitational. Adeline also swam relay lead off times in the 100 Freestyle (52.49) & 200 Freestyle (1:50.61) that are under the NCAA Division II "B" Standard. Martin's 200 Free, 200 Breaststroke, and 200 & 400 IM's were University of Bridgeport Varsity School Records and all four swims rank in the Top 4 on the NCAA Division II Top Times list, with her 400 IM ranking 1st in NCAA Division II. The University of Bridgeport Women's Swimming Team finished the meet in 4th place.

Division II Men
Matt Josa (Charlotte, NC), a freshman at Queens University of Charlotte, was one of many Americans to light it up at US Nationals this past weekend. Josa broke the Division II National Record in the 200 back, posting a time of 1:43.03. Josa also put up impressive times in the 100 back (47.99) 100 fly (46.38) and 200 IM (1:45.44). The freshman finaled in the 200 back, 100 fly and 200 IM, and qualified for the console in the 100 back. His efforts have earned him the Counsilman Hunsaker CollegeSwimming.com Men's Division II Swimmer of the Week.

Division III Women
Ana Bogdanovski (Fanwood, NJ), a Johns Hopkins junior was part of 4 relays at the Total Performance Invitational that are ranked #1 in DIII. Her performances were highlighted by a 1:48.26 anchor leg on the 800 freestyle relay as well as a 48.99 anchor leg on the 400 freestyle relay. She broke 2 school records in the 50 and 100 freestyle, going 23.21 and 50.24. She also won the 200 Freestyle in 149.09. She is currently ranked 1st in Division III in the 100 and 200 freestyle and 2nd in the 50 free. Her outstanding efforts have earned her the Counsilman Hunsaker CollegeSwimming.com Women's Division III Swimmer of the Week for two consecutive weeks.

Division III Men
Wheaton College (Illinois) senior Wills Francis has earned the Counsilman Hunsaker CollegeSwimming.com Men's Division III Swimmer of the Week for his efforts this past weekend at the Wheaton Invitational. Francis picked up the Thunder's lone event win on the men's side in the 100 back, breaking his own school and CCIW record with an NCAA B-cut time of 50.12. Francis also was 2nd in the 100 free (45.92), lead off the 3rd place 200 free relay (21.01), the 3rd place 400 medley relay (50.83), was 16th in the 200 free (1:46.69), lead off the 4th place 200 medley relay (23.72), and anchored the 2nd place 400 free relay (44.91).
