Northwestern Swimming Makes Big Time Entrance as Part of ESPN College Game Day Festivities

EVANSTON, Illinois, October 5. FOR those that are college football fans, there’s not much of a bigger celebration of the sport than ESPN’s College Game Day. ESPN is in town today with the Game Day experience in advance of the No. 4 Ohio State vs. No. 16 Northwestern Big Ten clash this evening, and those involved in the swim program made sure to add some of their own spice to the party.

Today, the swimmers decided to partake in some chilly open water training by swimming around in Lake Michigan as part of the celebration.

That’s not the only swimming-related fun as part of the Game Day experience. Former Swimming World SID of the Year Doug Meffley, the Director of Digital and Social Communications at Northwestern, also was a part of the action in this hilarious video.
