What Does It Take to Go 1:48 In 200 Breaststroke? Hear From Hansen & Cordes

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana, April 1. ERIC Hansen and Kevin Cordes worked together to create a performance for the ages last week at the men's NCAA Division I swimming and diving championships, and the Arizona head coach talks about how Cordes has been able to train in the past few months to reach a new level in breaststroke.

Hansen also talks about “the breaststroke by committee” that exists at Arizona, where each swimmer works with each other on technique and race strategy and is fully invested in each swimmer's progress.

Cordes also spoke about his game plan in the 200 breast race, including making the shift from four strokes per length to five strokes per length on the third 50.
