Tennessee Men and Women Wrap Up Invite With Dominating Wins

KNOXVILLE, Tennessee, November 16. THE University of Tennessee wrapped up the Tennessee Invite on Friday and Saturday, winning 19 of the 26 events offered.

Tennessee started off Friday with wins in the women's and men's 200 medley relay. The women's team posted a time of 1:39.93, while the men swam a 1:30.06.

The women's relay was the first of four swims on Friday for Kelsey Floyd, one day after an impressive five races and three wins on the opening day. She was next up in the 100 fly, which she won with a 53.26. She followed it up with a win in the 200 free in 1:48.18 and helped the Lady Volunteers win the 800 free relay with a 1:48.88 split and a 7:24.51 overall time.

Floyd only swam two events in finals on Saturday, winning the 200 fly with a 1:59.70 and helping Tennessee win the 400 free relay win with a time of 3:19.83. Floyd scratched from the finals of the 100 free after posting a 51.46 for sixth overall in prelims.

Other highlights from the meet include a sub-2:00 minute swim from Colorado State's Breanna Fuller in the women's 200 back with a 1:56.09 and a tight four-way match in the men's 200 fly. Kentucky's Matt Roman got the win with a 1:51.09, while Tennessee's Ben Miller (1:51.28), and Kentucky's Zachary Perrotti (1:51.30) and Tripp Crosthwaite (1:51.51) placed second through fourth.

The Tennessee men's team won the meet handily with a score of 1,264 points. Kentucky was second with 1,020, while Duke (693) took third.

The Lady Volunteers also won the meet with 1,189 points, well ahead of Kentucky's 847, Colorado State's 772.5 and Duke's 611.5 points.
