Nova Southeastern, Indian River vs. Florida International

DAVIE, Florida, November 12. THE FIU swimming and diving team won a total of eight events against Nova Southeastern and Indian River State College to come out as victors. The Panthers defeated Nova 203-83 and IRSC 166-134.
Swimmers Sonia Perez Arau and Johanna Gustafsdottir along with diver Sabrina Beaupre each won two events to help the Panthers to victory.

Perez Arau won the 100-Yard Back with a time of 58.87 and the 500-Yard Free with a time of 5:05.32. Gustafsdottir took the 200-Yard back (2:06.98) and the 200-Yard IM (2:08.40).

Beaupre continued her dominance in the air, taking the 1-Meter dive with a score of 293.18 and the 3-Meter dive with a score of 301.50.

Colleen Quinn took the 1650-Yard Free with a time of 17:47.01. The 800-Yard Free relay team of Perez Arau, Kayla Derr, Vicnan Torres and Nadia Farriugia finished the meet strong with a win at 7:45.17.

"Today was a good meet to end the fall dual meet season," Head Coach Randy Horner said. "I'm proud of how the ladies performed today."

The Panthers will return to the pool on Dec. 1, to participate in the UALR Invite in Little Rock, Ark.
