Phelps, Crocker to be Subject of Documentary

MONTREAL, Canada, July 20. SET to rekindle their butterfly rivalry at next week’s World Championships in Montreal, Michael Phelps and Ian Crocker will first appear together on the big screen. Two of America’s leading names in the pool, Phelps and Crocker are the subject of a documentary, entitled Unfiltered. The film will be shown Friday at the IMAX theater in Montreal and will be released next month on DVD.

Both represented by Octagon, Phelps and Crocker are expected to duel for the 100-meter butterfly title at the World Championships. Phelps is the reigning Olympic champion while Crocker is the defending world champ and the world-record holder. According to a story in USA Today, the documentary will look at the distinct differences between Phelps and Crocker, who share a similar excellence in the fly.

The film was packaged by three Syracuse University graduates and visits the swimmers in their hometowns and on their college campuses, Phelps in the Baltimore suburbs and at the University of Michigan and Crocker in Portland, Maine and at the University of Texas.
