Randy Reese Is Back!

One of America’s most successful swim coaches has returned to coaching after a hiatus of several years. Randy Reese, former head coach at the University of Florida, has accepted a position as head coach of the newly-formed Circle C Swim Club in Austin, Texas. Reese is the brother of Ed Reese, men’s coach at the University of Texas and head coach of Texas Aquatics, also in Austin.

The program will start up with an estimated 40 age group swimmers and 30 Masters swimmers. Reese says he expects it will grow to 150 age groupers and senior swimmers, plus Masters, by November.

Circle C is located in one of the largest, most successful developments in central Texas, started by Gary Bradley 11 years ago. “Gary has very high standards for everything he’s associated with, including this club, so we see eye-to-eye,” said Reese. Circle C has a 50 meter by 25 yard pool. Another 50m x 25yd pool, plus a smaller pool, will be built in January.

Reese currently is looking to hire one or two assistant coaches.
