TCU's Strawn Awarded a Postgraduate Scholarship -- May 4, 2005

FORT WORTH, Texas, May 4. AS a reward for her efforts in the pool and classroom, Texas Christian’s Tiffany Strawn has been awarded an NCAA postgraduate scholarship. Strawn is one of 174 recipients, split between men and women, throughout the country

The senior from Katy, Texas helped TCU place second in the team standings at the Conference USA Championships. Individually, she finished second in the 100 backstroke and third in the 200 backstroke. She was also a member of the second-place 200 medley relay and shared the program’s Most Valuable Team Contributor Award.

Strawn was eligible for her postgraduate scholarship as a result of meeting the NCAA guidelines, which require at least a 3.2 GPA on a 4.0 scale. Recipients must also intend on continuing their course work beyond the baccalaureate degree.
