Phelps will be joined as a judge by Molly Sims, Sugar Ray Leonard and Frederic Fekkai, among others. A supermodel, Sims is a cast member of the NBC show “Las Vegas” while Leonard is a former world-champion boxer currently starring in “The Contender,” an NBC reality show that features boxing hopefuls. Fekkai is a world-renowned beauty expert.

Other judges include fashion designer Pamela Dennis, former “The Apprentice” contestant Raj Bhakta, model Ksenia Maksimova and Brody Hutzler of the television show “Days of Our Lives.”

Last week, Phelps set an American record in the 200-yard freestyle at the American Short Course Championships in Austin, Texas. He is preparing for the World Championship Trials in Indianapolis in early April. Phelps will judge the Miss USA contestants in three categories: swimsuit, evening gown and interview.
