Puhakka Claims 1-Meter Title On First Day at Men’s Pac-10 Diving Meet -- February 25, 2005

FEDERAL WAY, WA, February 25. JUNIOR diver Joona Puhakka defends his Pac-10 title in the Men’s 1-meter springboard event Wednesday at the Pac-10 Championships held at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center, per ASU reports. The Sun Devils scored 102 points in the two events contested on Wednesday.

Puhakka became a three-time Pac-10 champion in the 1-meter springboard event with a score of 387.05. He solidifies himself into the Pac-10 record book as he became the third Pac-10 diver to ever win the 1-meter on three occasions and the first since 1994. He is the 2003 national champion in the 1-meter event.
