SWIMINFO’s Where Are They Now: Jennifer Cristy Releases Debut CD -- January 22, 2005

BLOOMINGTON, IN, January 22. Indiana University sources report that former IU standout and 10-time All-American Jenn Cristy released her debut CD Friday night, Becoming, at Second Story in Bloomington, Ind.

"I am thrilled," Cristy said. "It is quite a milestone for a recording artist. You only have one CD debut. From there on, it is only a CD release. It is a really exciting time for me."

Cristy is an accomplished singer, songwriter and musician. She has written close to 200 songs in her 25 years and has entertained audiences all over North America as both a member of John Mellencamp's band and as a solo performer. Mellencamp, a strong supporter of Indiana Athletics, discovered Cristy while hearing her sing the national anthem at IU sporting events.
