GTE Academic All-America Teams

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – Chinese swimmers have been invited to compete at the 1999 Pan Pacific Championships despite a push by the U.S. to have them banned because of their horrendous record of drugs in sport. The Americans wanted to ban China but had been outvoted after a meeting of the Pan Pac Charter Nations – Australia, U.S., Canada and Japan.
